Sharing the serene experience with his followers, Deol took to Instagram on Monday morning and posted a photo with the Dalai Lama. In the caption, the 67-year-old actor wrote, “A moment of deep honour and gratitude. Met His Holiness, The Dalai Lama, during my journey through the serene landscapes of Ladakh. His presence, wisdom, and blessings filled my heart with peace. Truly unforgettable.”
The actor’s post was met with admiration from fans, with many praising the calm and humility reflected in the photo.

Sunny Deol wraps Border 2
On the professional front, Sunny Deol has completed filming for Border 2, the much-anticipated follow-up to his 1997 war classic Border. The original, directed by J.P. Dutta, became a landmark film in Indian cinema, depicting the bravery of Indian soldiers during the 1971 India-Pakistan war and grossing over ₹60 crore globally.
The sequel, directed by Anurag Singh, features a fresh ensemble cast including Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty. Border 2 is scheduled for a Republic Day weekend release on January 23, 2026. The film is backed by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, J.P. Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta.
Upcoming project: Lahore 1947
Deol is also gearing up for Lahore 1947, in which he will be seen sharing screen space with Preity Zinta. The film, set against the backdrop of India’s Partition, is directed by Rajkumar Santoshi and produced by Aamir Khan under his banner, Aamir Khan Productions.
