His recent re-release of ‘Tumbbad' not only confirmed the film's place as a folkloric classic but also set a record for the highest-grossing re-released film in India. Now that he is concentrating on his next film, ‘Crazxy’, Sohum has started a marketing campaign that is just as crazy and unexpected as the film.
A Unique Crossover With Tumbbad Characters
Sohum Shah made a humorous statement, inviting Tumbbad's prominent characters—Hastar, Daadi, and Vinayak—into his own area for some entertaining banter. The three, renowned for their menacing presence in the 2018 hit, collaborated to disclose the release date for ‘Crazxy’, which is February 28, 2025.
The video captures Daadi's mischievous voice as she tries to watch TV, interrupted by Vinayak's warnings that the demon god Hastar will come. The scene becomes hilarious when Daadi says she says, "Come Hastar, let's watch a film."
This innovative collaboration between ‘Tumbbad’ and ‘Crazxy’ offers a one-of-a-kind preview of the next film, allowing fans a tantalising glance into its chaotic, exhilarating universe.

‘Crazxy’ is an unexpected thriller that promises a roller-coaster experience with twists and turns. Girish Kohli wrote and directed the film, which is produced by Sohum Shah, Mukesh Shah, Amita Suresh, and Adesh Prasad, with co-production from Ankit Jain Films. Sohum Shah Films' horror-fantasy ‘Tumbbad’ takes place in a small town in Maharashtra. The plot follows Shah's character Vinayak Rao as he succumbs to greed while seeking a buried treasure protected by the terrifying Hastar.
The actor also revealed that ‘Tumbbad 2’ is in the works. In a statement, he said, "With Tumbbad 2, we want to push the cinematic experience and boundaries even further.
