Shah Rukh Khan fulfils Wish Of Parents Of Martyred Air Force P,ilot Who Was Named After His Fauji Character

Shah Rukh Khan, who has a global fan following, recently fulfilled a heartfelt wish of the mother of martyred Air Force pilot Abhimanyu Rai. Chitralekha Rai expressed her desire to meet Shah Rukh Khan.

New Delhi: Shah Rukh Khan, who has a global fan following, recently fulfilled a heartfelt wish of the mother of martyred Air Force pilot Abhimanyu Rai. Chitralekha Rai, whose son died in December last year, expressed her desire to meet Shah Rukh and share the poignant story behind her son's name, inspired by the actor's character in the television series Fauji. 

Chitralekha's wish reached Shah Rukh through the assistance of Team Saath, who posted on X, saying, "Dear @iamsrk, Mother of a martyr, Squadron Leader Abhimanyu Rai, wants to talk to you about her son and how she ended up keeping her son’s name on the character you played in the serial Fauji. Give her this little happiness, please. Do your thing @X and let this message reach King Khan." 

In another post, Team Saath shared a screenshot of a message from Abhimanyu’s father, stating, "His father, Group Captain Amitabh Rai has been trying to reach @iamsrk for a little support as Abhimanyu was named after Shahrukh’s character in the serial Fauji." 

Shah Rukh Khan, informed through his fan pages, graciously interacted with the grieving parents of the martyred Air Force pilot. Confirming the heartwarming exchange, Team Saath expressed their gratitude on X, saying, "Thank you @iamsrk for giving your time to Group Captain Amitabh Rai and Mrs. Chitralekha Rai, proud parents of Squadron Leader Abhimanyu Rai, who sacrificed his life in service of the nation. That is why you are THE KING. Your gesture has filled their lives with hope and an ambition to bring his life story in front of the World. Love you SRK. Special thanks to @SRKUniverse."

On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan had a very successful 2023 with three releases 'Pathaan', 'Jawan', and 'Dunki'. While 'Pathaan' and 'Jawan' collected more than 1000 crore each worldwide, 'Dunki' earned Rs 447.70 crores.
