Samantha Ruth Prabhu Suggested TWO Actresses As Replacements Due To Her Myositis Diagnosis During 'Citadel: Honey Bunny'

Samantha Ruth Prabhu recently shared that she requested 'Citadel: Honey Bunny' directors Raj & DK to consider replacing her with another actress.

New Delhi: Samantha Ruth Prabhu has been open about her struggle with myositis, an autoimmune disorder that impacted her health while shooting Raj & DK's web series ‘Citadel: Honey Bunny’. In a recent interview with Galatta India, the actress talked about the difficulties she encountered on set and how her illness almost prompted her to propose a substitute for the part.

Samantha was happy about the chance and eager about the role when she first joined the production. Nevertheless, she quickly began to question her capacity to continue due to her health problems. "I believe I couldn't do it because of the circumstances I was in," she said.

The actress remembered that during this difficult time, she even sent filmmakers Raj & DK images of actresses Kiara Advani and Kriti Sanon to recommend her replacements.

Samantha said, "I actually sent them Kiara's pictures and Kriti's pictures. I remember sending four to them, saying, 'Oh my God, she is so hot. Just look at her. She will be amazing doing action. Please, I can't do it. They said, 'We know them. You don't have to introduce us to them. We know who they are'."

‘Citadel: Honey Bunny’ co-star Varun Dhawan praised Samantha's resilience during the trailer launch, bringing attention to the health issues she encountered while filming. The actor shared, "Honestly, my preparation was very easy compared to Samantha's. It's public knowledge what she was battling when she joined the show. I thought my rehearsals were tough, but then I saw her incredible work ethic despite her struggles, and it truly inspired me. We became partners in making things happen."
