A throwback video from the singing reality show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa has resurfaced, showcasing a heartfelt moment between Salman Khan and a contestant. The contestant, smitten by Salman's on-screen charm, confessed her love for the film Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam (1999).

What the contestant said

In the video, the contestant can be seen being all praises for Salman Khan's performance in the romantic drama. She also went on to say that had she been in Aishwarya's place, she would never have left Salman and gone with Ajay Devgn.

As she said these words, the cameraperson zoomed in on Salman's face while judged Sajid-Wajid looked at the actor whose expression changed on the mention of Aishwarya's name. However, Salman maintained his calm and went on to say, "Channel walon ko aapka shukra guzar hona chahiye. Aapne unhe is hafte ka promo de dia hai."

Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam

Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam is a romantic drama that tells the story of Sameer (Salman Khan), a free-spirited musician, and Nandini (Aishwarya Rai), a traditional Indian girl. The film's narrative explores themes of love, sacrifice, and self-discovery, set against the backdrop of stunning visuals and memorable music.

Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai's On-Screen and Off-Screen Romance

Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam marked a significant milestone in Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai's careers, as well as their personal lives. The on-screen chemistry between the leads translated into a real-life romance, with the couple dating briefly during the film's production.

 

However, their relationship was short-lived, and the two parted ways due to various reasons, including Salman's alleged possessiveness and Aishwarya's growing closeness with Vivek Oberoi.

On the work front, Salman Khan was last seen in the spy-thriller 'Tiger 3' also starring Katrina Kaif and Emraan Hashmi. The star will next be seen in 'Sikandar' opposite Rashmika Mandanna. The film is directed by Ghajini fame A R Murugadoss.

Meanwhile, Aishwarya Rai recent received the Best Actress Award for her performance in Mani Ratnam's Tamil film 'Ponniyin Selvan 2', at the SIIMA 2024, held in Dubai.
