Salman Khan reportedly had a clever response when asked about his 30-year age gap with Rashmika Mandanna. Speaking to the media, the actor said, “Heroine ke father ko problem nahi hain. Kal jab inki shaadi ho jayegi, bacche ho jaenge, aur tab bhi kaam karenge. Pati ka permission toh mil hi jayega na? (The heroine’s father has no problem. Tomorrow, when she gets married and has children, she will still continue working. She will get her husband’s permission, right?)"

Salman further praised Rashmika and said, “She has given her best. She was shooting for Pushpa 2. She would finish shooting by 7pm and join us for shoot from 9pm. She used to work with us til 6.30 in the morning and then go back to work for Pushpa 2 and she was not well as well too."

He added, “And then, after breaking her leg, she shot with us and didn’t cancel a single day. She reminds me a lot of me, younger me."

About Sikandar

This is the first time Salman Khan has been paired with Rashmika Mandanna in a film. When the news surfaced, a section of social media users voiced their displeasure, pointing out that Salman frequently casts younger actresses as his leading ladies. Despite the social media reactions, neither the superstar nor the filmmakers addressed the issue at that time.

‘Sikandar’ marks the reunion of Salman Khan and producer Sajid Nadiadwala, who previously collaborated on the 2014 hit ‘Kick’.

Directed by AR Murugadoss, the film also features Sathyaraj, Prateik Babbar, Anjini Dhawan, and Kajal Aggarwal in key roles. It is set to release on March 30.
