New Delhi: Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chaddha tied the knot on September 24 in Udaipur among family and friends. The wedding, which took place at the Leela Palace, was missed by Parineeti’s cousin and actor Priyanka Chopra. Fans were wondering why the actor, who was present at the couple’s engagement in May, skipped the wedding. Now a video of Priaynka’s mother Madhu Chopra has been shared by paparazzi and fan pages where she has given the reason of Priyanka’s absence from the wedding.
In the video, when asked by photographers why Priyanka was not at the wedding, Madhu said, "Woh kam kar rahi hai (She is working)."
In the same video, when asked about the wedding gift she gave Parineeti, Madhu said, "Unhone sab mana kar diya, no lena-dena, bas ashirwad (The wedding was great. They asked us to not gift anything, there was no exchange of gifts, just gave them my blessings)."

When asked about how Parineeti looked as a bride, Madhu said, “Waise hi khubsoorat hai, aur achi lag rahi thi (She is beautiful as is, so as a bride she looked even more beautiful).”
Earlier ahead of the wedding Priyanka had shared wishes for her cousin on Instagram stories. Sharing a picture of Parineeti, she had written, "I hope you are as happy and content as this on your big day little one..always wishing you so much love (red heart emoji) #newbeginnings @parineetichopra @raghavchadha88."
Meanwhile, Parineeti and Raghav shared pictures of their dreamy wedding on social media. Taking to Instagram, a day after her wedding on Sunday, Parineeti posted a string of pictures from their jai mala and pheras. A picture of her ‘ghoonghat’ shows “Raghav written on it.
