In a recent interview with News18, Pandey's close friend and reality TV personality Sambhavna Seth reacted to Poonam's sudden passing.

Speaking to News 18, Sambhavna said, "Oh my god! I knew her. We have done Khatron Ke Khiladi together. I met her last year. We actually would keep meeting sometimes socially or at an event. But she never mentioned that she was going through any problems. It’s absolutely unbelievable, I still can’t digest it. Poonam was so young, hardly 30-32 years old. Life is just so unpredictable. I’m not in Mumbai but how I wish I was there to pay my respects. I would have reached there immediately.”

The announcement of Poonam Pandey's death was made in a post that first surfaced on her official Instagram account. Since nobody who knew her was aware of her health situation, the announcement caught everyone off guard.

In fact, the actor, who has never kept any aspect of her life private, mentioned nothing about having cervical cancer in her most recent Instagram post, which was shared two or three days ago, which was about her vacation in Goa.
