Singer Sonu Nigam is disappointed with some politicians in the country after a recent occurrence at his Jaipur concert. Sharing a reel on Instagram, Sonu Nigam stated that he had recently done a 'Rising Rajasthan' show that included several high-ranking dignitaries including Bhajan Lal Sharma, Chief Minister of Rajasthan and the Sports & Youth Affairs Minister of the state, who were all attendees of the show. However, the singer was perturbed when some of them left his show midway and that led to several other delegates following the same course of action.
What Sonu Nigam said after Rajasthan CM left the show midway
Calling it an ‘insult to Goddess Saraswati’ and the ‘art form’, Sonu Nigam cited examples of places like the Americas, where a President would not leave the show midway or do so by informing the artiste or those in management.
Sonu Nigam called his message a ‘humble request’ and asked such leaders to not attend shows of singers and artists in the first place if they cannot make it through, or inform them beforehand if they have to leave the show midway.
Sharing the video on his official Instagram account, he wrote, “A humble request to all the respected Politicians of India, kindly don't attend any performance of any artiste if you have to abruptly leave mid way. This is disrespect to Art and Artistes and Maa Sarasvati.”
