Nawazuddin Siddiqui Calls Holi His Favourite Festival: 'Made Half Of Delhi My Stage' After Drinking Thandai
Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui shares his fondness for Holi, calling it his "favourite festival."
New Delhi: Holi is the festival of colours, joy and merriment. As the entire nation gets gripped by its fervour, actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui also shared his fondness for the festival, calling Holi his "favourite festival" during an interaction with Samdish Bhatia on his chat show.
On being asked about his favourite festival, Nawazuddin Siddiqui shared that it's Holi. When prompted to explain the reason behind his fondness for the festival, the 'Gangs Of Wasseypur' actor related an incident from earlier days when he was at the National School of Drama.
Narrating a hilarious incident, Nawazuddin said in Hindi, "I drank thandai for the first time when I was at NSD. Swanand Kirkire, who was my batchmate, took me outside and made me drink thandai. I kept on drinking. For a while, nothing happened. Then they made me drink more. After half an hour...I started to recite Aswathama's speech and Naseeruddin Shah's speech. There's this famous Ashwathama's speech, 'This is my bow, Ashwathama's bow, which was made by Dronacharya himself'. I had made half of Delhi my stage and wherever I was going, be it ITO or Connaught Place, I was carrying the stage along with me."
