Mouni Roy Recounts Terrifying Hotel Room Intrusion During Film Shoot: 'I Immediately Started Screaming...'

Actress Mouni Roy recently shared a terrifying experience where a stranger broke into her hotel room at midnight.

New Delhi: Bollywood actress Mouni Roy, who is currently promoting her next movie, 'The Bhootnii', talked about a terrifying event when someone tried to use a stolen key to enter into her hotel room at midnight. The actress shared that she was staying at a hotel in a small town when the incident happened.

Sharing the harrowing details, Mouni told Bollywood Bubble, “I was in a small town. I can’t remember exactly which one, and I don’t want to name it incorrectly. Someone actually stole a key and tried to open my room. Thankfully, I wasn’t alone; I was with my manager. I immediately started screaming when we realized what was happening."

Mouni Roy claimed that the event happened at roughly 12:30 a.m. She said, "Then we tried calling the receptionist. They casually said it must have been housekeeping. I questioned them 'Who in housekeeping is coming to open a door without knocking, without ringing the bell, and that too at 12:30 at night?"

The hotel staff's casual approach made Mouni doubt their responsibility in protecting visitor safety.

About 'The Bhootnii'

The actress, known for her roles in Gold and Brahmāstra, is now gearing up for the release of 'The Bhootnii'. The horror-comedy where she stars as Mohabbat, a ghost caught in a supernatural tale alongside Sanjay Dutt and Sunny Singh. Directed by Sidhaant Sachdev, the film is set to hit theatres on May 1, 2025.
