Matt LeBlanc Bids Adieu To Friends Co-Star Matthew Perry: 'I Will Always Smile When I Think Of You'
'Friends' star Matt LeBlanc has written a touching tribute to say goodbye to the late Matthew Perry.
New Delhi: Friends, relatives, and fans of late Hollywood actor Matthew Perry were devastated by news of his unexpected death. On October 28, 2018, at the age of 54, he died and on November 3, he was put to rest at a Los Angeles cemetery. All the major stars from the iconic sitcom 'Friends' attended Perry's funeral. Former 'Friends' co-star Matt Le Blanc, who portrayed Joey and Chandler's pal, took to social media to express his grief at Matthew Perry's death.
Chandler's Joey (Matt LeBlanc) has written a heartfelt tribute. He wrote, “Matthew, it is with a heavy heart I say goodbye. The times we had together are honestly among the favorite times of my life. It was an honor to share the stage with you and to call you my friend. I will always smile when I think of you and I’ll never forget you. Never.”
The actor added, “Spread your wings and fly brother you’re finally free. Much love. And I guess you’re keeping the 20 bucks you owe me.”

Fans were quick to respond when Matt shared his heartfelt tribute. Actress Esha Gupta and Shibani Dandekar dropped sad face emojis. One user called them, “The Best Duo in Television History!”.
LeBlanc also included a series of photos from the classic comedy series. LeBlanc played Chandler Bing's (Matthew Perry) roommate and closest friend Joey Tribbiani in the NBC sitcom 'Friends', which ran from 1994 to 2004.
James Corden presented a reunion show in 2021, which sparked massive fan demand to see the group reunited.
Perry was found unresponsive in his Los Angeles apartment's jacuzzi. The authorities are looking into the circumstances surrounding his death, although there was reportedly no evidence of foul play, as reported by the Los Angeles Times and TMZ.
