'The Language And Content Is Inappropriate': Juhi Parmar Leaves The Theatre After Just 10 Minutes Of Watching 'Barbie'

Juhi Parmar writes an open letter to criticise the creators of 'Barbie' for breaking "the perfect illusion" of Barbies.

New Delhi: The worldwide popularity of ‘Barbie’ has attracted viewers from all walks of life. The Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling movie has been universally praised, but much debate has centred on whether or not it is better than ‘Oppenheimer.’ On Monday, TV actress Juhi Parmar resorted to Instagram to criticise Barbie's creators. In an open letter, she blasted the creators and said that she was out of there in about 10-15 minutes.

Greta Gerwig's film has been given a PG-13 rating due to its complex plot. It was a bad idea for Juhi Parmar to take her daughter Samairra in the movie. The actress was horrified after watching ‘Barbie’ and now she has taken to Instagram to write an open letter.

Juhi wrote the caption as a concerned parent, saying, “A lot of my own audience is not going to happy with what I share today, some of you may send me a lot of angst but I share this note as a concerned parent to Barbie! And for the other parents out there, don’t make the mistake I did and please do check before you take your child for the film, that choice is yours!”

In an open letter, she criticised the designers for ruining "the perfect illusion" of barbies. Juhi Parmar’s post reads, “I start with owning up to my mistake, I took my 10-year-old daughter Samairra to watch your film without researching the fact that it was a "PG-13" movie. 10 minutes into the movie, inappropriate language, sexual connotations and I was anxiously running out of the theater wondering what had I just exposed my child to. She had been waiting to watch your film and here I was just shocked, disappointed and heartbroken with what I had just exposed her to.”

She went on to say that the producers were 'misleading' the audience.

Meanwhile, ‘Barbie’ had a record-breaking opening weekend in India, earning Rs 21 crore despite only being released in English.
