Hania Aamir Condemns Online Abuse Faced By Apoorva Mukhija: ‘A Separate Place In Hell’
Pakistani actor Hania Aamir has lent her voice to the growing concern over the extreme cyberbullying Apoorva Mukhija has been facing after India’s Got Latent controversy.

Social media influencer Apoorva Mukhija, who had taken a break from Instagram following a wave of backlash, recently returned to the platform with a deeply disturbing post highlighting the kind of abuse she’s been subjected to in recent weeks — including rape threats and death threats.
Apoorva, along with Ranveer Allahbadia and comedian Samay Raina, had earlier been named in a complaint related to inappropriate and offensive remarks made on an episode of ‘India’s Got Latent’ in February. The controversy triggered a massive online outrage, following which Apoorva went silent on all her social platforms. She removed all her previous content, unfollowed every account, and stepped away from public view.

Now, Pakistani actor Hania Aamir has lent her voice to the growing concern over the extreme cyberbullying Apoorva has been facing. Hania reshared a post by fashion commentator Sufi Motiwala on her Instagram Stories — a post that addressed the toxic flood of rape and acid attack threats directed at Apoorva. Expressing solidarity, Sufi wrote that he stood with Apoorva, and no woman should be subjected to such vile abuse, and called for more people to speak up.
Sharing the post, Hania added, “a separate place in hell.”
Apoorva returned to Instagram
On Tuesday, Apoorva returned to Instagram with a trigger warning and posted screenshots of the graphic abuse she had received. She captioned the carousel, “And that’s not even 1%.” In a follow-up post, she added, “Don’t take away the story from the storyteller.”

During the height of the controversy, Apoorva had also chosen not to promote her film ‘Nadaaniyan’, in which she played a supporting role. Her absence from the press and social media circuit was noted by many. Around the time of the film's release, Sufi Motiwala had praised her sense of style in a reel, to which Apoorva had wryly responded: “Got hated so hard that now even Sufi Motiwala doesn’t say hateful things about me.”
