Actor Guddi Maruti, known for many of her comedy roles, recently opened up about the dating culture and relationship dynamics in the Hindi film industry in the 90s. She shared that romantic affairs between lead actors was quite common, especially when they were on outdoor shoots. Guddi also spoke about Akshay Kumar's 'chaming personality and his 'flirtatious' nature. She also mentioned the megastar having multiple girlfriends. 

In an interaction with Siddharth Kannan, Guddi Maruti spoke about Akshay Kumar's popularity among women during the time when they worked together on Khiladi. She said, "Kaafi girlfriends thi uski( He had many girlfriends). I know of his two or three lovely girlfriends, but I can’t say how many more he dated. On set, he was always very nice to work with."

While she clarified that Akshay might not have been dating these women simultaneously, he was certainly seen as a heartbreaker.  “He would act so naive, but later we heard so many stories about him," Guddi added.

Akshay Kumar marriage

Akshay later married Twinkle Khanna. Their eomance began in the late 90s, when both were trying to establish themselves in the industry. As per reported, the two crossed paths during a magazine photoshoot and instantly connected. Their friendship soon became love, and the two eventually tied the knot.

In fact, there is quite a famous incident revolving around their marriage. In 2000, Twinkle had publicly declared that if her film 'Mela' did not perform well, she would marry Akshay. As the movie bombed at the box office, Twinkle, as promised, tied the knot in January 17, 2001, in an intimate ceremony with close friends and family.

Since then, Akshay and Twinkle have been married and are parents to Aarav and Nitara. Their marriage has only grown stronger over the years and the two share humour, mutual respect and shared values.
