Director Kunal Kemmu shared his thoughts on selecting Goa as the backdrop of ‘Madgaon Express’.

New Delhi: ‘Madgaon Express’, produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under Excel Entertainment, has generated immense anticipation among audiences, evident from the overwhelming response to its trailer and songs. With a talented cast comprising Divyenndu Sharma, Pratik Gandhi, and Avinash Tiwary, viewers are eagerly awaiting the on-screen chemistry and witty banter.

One aspect that has captured the audience's curiosity is the film's setting in Goa. Director Kunal Kemmu, in a recent revelation, shared his thoughts on selecting Goa as the backdrop and his experience filming there. He expressed, "I love Goa, I have been there many times to shoot films and it is the most relatable place."

Kunal Kemmu elaborated on the aspirational aspect of Goa for characters residing in Mumbai, portraying the allure of the coastal paradise as a symbol of excitement and adventure. He said, “When you say Goa everybody in the country knows that it is all about fun, some kind of excitement, and beaches and it kind of resonates. Also, I am telling the story about boys who live in Bombay and to give them something aspirational is so relatable. They were so close to Goa but still could not reach Goa till 20 years"

Kemmu's statement underscores the meticulous attention to detail in crafting the film's narrative and the significance of Goa as a fitting location.

Joining the stellar ensemble are Nora Fatehi, Upendra Limaye, and Chhaya Kadam, adding more charm and humour to the cinematic escapade. With its blend of humour, thrilling escapades, and sheer entertainment, ‘Madgaon Express’ guarantees a delightful experience for all audiences.

Taglined "Bachpan ke sapne…. lag gaye apne," the film offers a nostalgic exploration of childhood dreams. ‘Madgaon Express’ helmed by Kunal Kemmu, promises an exhilarating journey filled with friendship and laughter, slated for theatrical release on March 22nd, 2024.
