Baba Siddique's Iftar Party Used To Be A Star-Studded Affair With Who's Who Of Bollywood And Politics In Attendance

Former Maharashtra minister and NCP leader Baba Siddique was shot dead on Saturday. His death has led to a wave of mourning across both politics and Bollywood. Baba Siddique was well-known for his strong connections in politics as well as in the film industry. Every year, he held a grand Iftar party in Mumbai that was attended by many political leaders and film stars.

Baba Siddique was known as an icon of the grand Iftar party in Mumbai. His events drew not only Bollywood stars and politicians but also many prominent figures from various fields. Television stars, comedians, and other notable personalities often attended his lavish gatherings. Baba Siddique co-hosted these Iftar parties with his son, Zeeshan Siddique.

Stars like Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Sanjay Dutt, Sunil Shetty, Shilpa Shetty, Preity Zinta, and Katrina Kaif were among the many celebrities who attended Baba Siddique's Iftar parties. His last grand Iftar gathering took place on March 24, 2024, featuring not only film stars but also television personalities such as Hina Khan, Gauhar Khan, Tejasswi Prakash, Karan Kundra, Rashami Desai, Monalisa, Ali Goni, and comedian Munawar Faruqui.

Baba Siddique reunited Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan

At one of his parties, Baba Siddique brought together two of Bollywood’s biggest stars, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan, after their infamous fight. Once good friends, they avoided each other since a heated argument at Katrina Kaif's birthday party in 2008. The Iftar party hosted by Siddique was the perfect place for their long-awaited reunion.

Siddique was reportedly asked to help bring Salman and Shah Rukh back together. He seated Shah Rukh next to Salman's father, Salim Khan, at the party.

Baba Siddique death 

NCP leader Baba Siddique was shot dead on Saturday by three unidentified attackers. He was taken to Lilavati Hospital, but he did not survive his injuries. As soon as the news broke, politicians and film celebrities rushed to the hospital. Stars like Salman Khan, Sanjay Dutt, and Shilpa Shetty were seen supporting Baba Siddique's family during this difficult time.

Baba Siddique's body was taken to Cooper Hospital for an autopsy on Sunday morning, October 13. His funeral will be held at 7 PM today, after which he will be laid to rest.
