Asha Negi Opens Up About Breakup With Rithvikk Dhanjani, Says 'I Still Get A Lot Of Gaalis From Fans'

'Pavitra Rishta' fame Asha Negi shared that her breakup with co-star Rithvikk Dhanjani is still a topic of fan outrage.

New Delhi: Asha Negi, who has transitioned from television to films, recently discussed her time after breaking up with Rithvikk Dhanjani. The duo, who got famous after appearing together in 'Pavitra Rishta', broke up in 2020 after over six years of dating. In a recent interview, the actress brought up the fact that she and Rithvikk's split is still the subject of fan rage.

Asha Negi recently chatted with Hauterrfly where she was about her dating life as a working woman in Mumbai. In response, Asha playfully said, "Jab kaam karne lag gayi toh fir dheere dheere wohi pe hi fir... kyuki yaar tumhe time hi nahi mil raha hai bahar kahin jaane ka."

She continued, “Then everybody is celebrating you. The fan clubs and people are loving you as partners and all that happens and then it happens. I think that is why couples are formed very quickly on television. Anyway, there is no time to go out and find out other people.”

Asha Negi on Breaking a Long-Term Relationship

Asha Negi also discussed her period of self-discovery after her separation from Rithvikk Dhanjani. She admitted, “There is grief of course. It happens. Then, handling everything because families are involved, and if you are an actor, there are like so many people, fan pages. I still get so many gaalis and so does he.”

“Before this, I was always in a relationship ever since I was conscious. I thought initially I was not one of those who stay single. I will end up finding somebody because I’ve always dated somebody and I cannot be the person who can live alone. But, it is so liberating. Initially, of course it was difficult,” she shared.

Asha Negi also added that "growth increases 2 times when you're single because you're focused on yourself."

The actress concluded by saying that she will be vocal whenever she gets into a new relationship.
