The music world recently witnessed a dramatic exchange between AP Dhillon and Diljit Dosanjh, with Dhillon claiming that the 'Lover' singer had blocked him on social media. While Diljit denied the claim, Dhillon decided to present "proof" that he was blocked.
AP Dhillon shares proof of Diljit blocking him
Taking to Instagram, Dhillon shared a screen recording that displayed his failed attempt to view Diljit’s profile, revealing that he had indeed been blocked. Interestingly, the situation seemed to change later as Diljit’s profile became accessible, suggesting he had unblocked Dhillon. Alongside the video, Dhillon wrote, “I wasn’t planning on saying sh*t knowing everyone will hate on me anyway, but at least we know what’s real and what’s not (sic).”
How it all started
The feud between the two artists began during their respective concerts. While performing in Indore, Diljit extended good wishes to Karan Aujla and AP Dhillon, both of whom were also touring in India. However, Dhillon’s response during his Chandigarh concert caught attention. He remarked, “I just want to say one small thing, brother. First, unblock me on Instagram and then talk to me. I don’t want to talk about what marketing is happening, but first unblock me. I’ve been working for three years. Have you ever seen me in any controversy?”
Diljit's response
In response to these comments, Diljit took to Instagram and shared a screenshot of Dhillon’s profile, asserting, “I never blocked you... I might have issues with the government, but not with artists.” Yet, Dhillon doubled down by posting his screen recording as evidence. Diljit has since remained silent on the matter.
During his Indore concert, Diljit had warmly mentioned Karan Aujla and AP Dhillon, saying, “Mere aur do bhaiyon ne tour shuru kiya hai Karan Aujla aur AP Dhillon ne, unke liye bhi best of luck (Two of my brothers, Karan Aujla and AP Dhillon, have started their tours; best of luck to them, too).” He also spoke about the rise of independent music, noting, “Problems will arise. When there is a revolution, problems will arise. We will keep working.”
Currently, Diljit is performing as part of his 'Dil-Luminati India Tour,' which began on October 26 in New Delhi and will conclude on December 29 in Guwahati.
