Bollywood actor Govinda and his wife Sunita Ahuja have been the subject of intense speculation following reports suggesting trouble in their 37-year marriage. Adding to the buzz, an old statement by Sunita regarding extramarital affairs has resurfaced online.  

What Sunita Ahuja said about extramarital affairs

In a past interview with Hautterfly, Sunita shared a blunt perspective on extramarital relationships, cautioning women against making certain remarks to their partners. She said, "Haath jod ke public mein bolti hoon, ladkio ko aur biwio ko—zindagi mein apne boyfriend aur husband ko yeh mat bolna, ‘Mera boyfriend yaa mera kuch karta nahi.’ Karega na toh itni buri tarah, sorry for my language, itna buri tarah hugta hai, itni buri jagah hugega na, nikalte-nikalte 2 saal lag jaayenge, lekin vo saali nikalegi nahi. Ap life se nikal jaoge, lekin nikalti nahi hai vo item (I fold my hands and say this in public to girls and wives—never tell your boyfriend or husband, ‘My boyfriend or husband doesn’t do anything.’ If he does, he will mess up so badly, sorry for my language, he will mess up in such a terrible way and in such a bad place that it will take two years to clean up the mess. Govinda reacts to divorce rumours

As speculation surrounding their marriage continues, Govinda recently addressed the divorce rumours but chose not to go into details. Speaking to ETimes, the actor simply stated, “These are only business talks going… I am in the process of starting my films." 

There were reports Sunita had sent a separation notice to Govinda a few months ago and there has reportedly been no progress in that direction.   

Govinda's manager confirmed Sunita sent legal notice

Govinda’s manager, Shashi Sinha, confirmed to IANS that a legal notice has been sent. He said, “Right now, the news is being spread all over the place. So we are keeping an eye on it. Yes, she has sent a legal notice in the court. I am aware of that. But there is no concrete matter as to what it is. The legal notice hasn’t yet reached us.”   

Govinda and Sunita's relationship

Earlier this year, Sunita Ahuja shares details about their living arrangements, revealing that she and Govinda do not reside together. While the Hero No. 1 actor stays in his bungalow, Sunita, along with their children—daughter Tina Ahuja and son Yashvardhan Ahuja—lives in a flat situated across from his residence. 

Govinda and Sunita’s love story began during their younger days when he was completing his final year of B.Com, and she was still in school. Their bond deepened as Govinda ventured into Bollywood, eventually leading to their marriage on March 11, 1987. Over the years, they built a close-knit family, raising their daughter, Tina Ahuja, and son, Yashvardhan.
