Aamir Khan on his retirement
The conversation takes an unexpected turn when Aamir reveals, “Mujhe filmon se hatna hai (I want to step aside from films).” Rhea, surprised, insists she doesn’t believe him and suggests a lie detector test. Aamir, with a smile, confidently responds, “Karwaalo” (Go ahead and do it).
This revelation follows Aamir Khan’s son, Junaid Khan, discussing his father’s potential retirement. Junaid mentioned that Aamir was in a "retirement phase" and even asked him to take over Aamir Khan Productions.
Junaid, who is currently producing 'Pritam Pyaare' under the production house, shared with the Times of India, “During that time, Kiran (Rao) was working on 'Laapataa Ladies' and dad was talking about retiring. He told me, ‘I am retiring, why don’t you take over.’ So, that’s when I stepped in. I think I have a decent understanding of production; it’s probably one of the toughest jobs in filmmaking.”
