New Delhi: Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s ‘Brahmastra’ is one of the biggest releases of 2022. The film, which took almost five years to complete, is reportedly made on a massive budget of around 400 crores. The makers are leaving no stone unturned to promote the film and create a buzz among the audience. Going by the advance booking of the film, it seems the dry spell of Bollywood will soon be over and the film will be one of the major blockbusters.
The film, which is releasing on 9 September, has already sold over 1 lakh tickets at the leading multiplex chain PVR cinemas for the opening weekend.
The official Twitter handles for PVR shared the news with a tweet that read, "Were you Lucky enough to grab your tickets to #Brahmastra? With over 1,00,000 tickets sold so far, the Astraverse is truly set to be an epic fantasy that breaks the barriers of film-making!" and shared a poster that said, "100000 tickets already booked at PVR for the first weekend of release and counting".

As per industry tracking website Sacnilk, Brahmastra has seen advance booking of Rs 6.60 crore by Sunday, of which the 3D version alone accounts for Rs 5.5 crore.
'Brahmastra - Part One: Shiva' is the first part of the trilogy and the beginning of India's first original universe, the Astraverse. The film aims to create a very own fan base of the Astraverse, perhaps similar to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The film also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy, and Nagarjuna Akkineni.
Directed by Ayan Mukerji, the film will be released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.
Brahmāstra is a new original universe inspired by deeply rooted concepts and tales from Indian history but set in the modern world, with epic storytelling of fantasy, adventure, good vs evil, love, and hope; all told using cutting-edge technology and never-seen-before visual spectacles. The story is set in modern-day India, against the premise of a secret society called the Brahmānsh; who generation after generation have protected many divine ‘Astras’ (weapons) that were created in ancient India and safe-guarded from the eyes of the world. The most powerful and the most deadly amongst these divine weapons; the Lord of all the Other Astras - named after the most powerful weapon of the Gods, the Brahmastra, is now waking up. And it threatens to completely destroy the universe we know today.
