Amitabh Bachchan's South Delhi Bungalow “Sopaan” was sold for Rs 23 crore
The Veteran actor, Amitabh Bachchan's Bungalow in Delhi is now sold off for 23 crores.
Mr. Bachchan yesterday posted the poster of his upcoming movie “Jhund” and we all are waiting for the movie to release. He made headlines again today when he let go of his parents' bungalow.
Teji Bachchan and Harivansh Rai Bachchan, Bachchan's parents used to live at the two-story, 418.05 square metre property “Sopaan”. His parent’s bungalow is located in Delhi's Gulmohar Park, one of the richest localities in Delhi. Harivansh Rai, Amitabh Bachchan's father, is known to hold poetry workshops in the mansion till 1980.
"Teji Bachchan, who was a freelance journalist, became a member of the Gulmohar Park Housing Society. Amitabh lived here before moving to Mumbai, and later his parents also moved. No one has lived in the house for years. The transaction is in line with the market rates," said Pradeep Prajapati, a South Delhi luxury real estate agent.
According to Pradeep, who specialises in premium real estate in South Delhi, the mansion was lively till Amitabh's parents stayed there. However, after moving in with Amitabh at his Mumbai residence, the house remained unoccupied.
Do you want to know who’s the new owner of Sopaan? The bungalow is now purchased by Avni Badar, CEO of the Nazon Group, a neighbouring firm.
Bachchan lives with his family in Mumbai, where he lives with his wife Jaya Bachchan. His son Abhishek Bachchan and daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan also live in the "Jalsa" mansion in Mumbai.
Amitabh also rented a duplex at the Atlantis building on Lokhandwala Road in Andheri West. Kirti Sanon rented this house for ten lakhs per month for two years.
