UP CM Yogi Adityanath has announced the film as tax-free in the state. The measure has been taken in order to ensure that every one can watch the film and learn about the legacy of the brave warrior.
New Delhi: Akshay Kumar is currently gearing-up for the release of his upcoming film 'Samrat Prithviraj'. The movie was recently watched by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who went all praises for Akshay as he successfully portrays the role of the brave warrior Prithviraj Chauhan, in the film.
Now, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced the film as tax-free in the state. The measure has been taken in order to ensure that every one can watch the film and learn about the legacy of the brave warrior.
A tweet shared by ANI reads as, "We announce that the movie 'Samrat Prithviraj' will be made tax-free in Uttar Pradesh so that a common man can also watch this movie: UP CM Yogi Adityanath in Lucknow."

Akshay Kumar earlier shared a post, expressing his gratitude towards Home Minister Amit Shah, for lauding praises on the actor after watching the film.
Sharing a picture of himself with the Home Minister, Akshay wrote, "A very emotional and proud evening for me. Had the rare honour of having Hon’ble Home Minister Amit Shah ji watch #SamratPrithviraj. उनकी हमारी फ़िल्म के लिए प्रशंसा ने हमारी मेहनत सफल कर दी! Ever so thankful 🙏🏻 @amitshahofficial"

'Samrat Prithivraj' is based on the life of the brave Rajput warrior Prithviraj Chauhan. Former Miss World Manushi Chillar, who will be making her Bollywood debut with the film, will be seen essaying the role of Prithviraj's ladylove Sanyogita. The film also stars Sanjay Dutt and Sonu Sood in key roles.
The epic historical drama will hit theatres on June 3.
