Aamir Khan Spotted For The First Time After 'Laal Singh Chaddha' Failure, Pic Goes Viral

Aamir Khan's photo from San Francisco has gone viral on social media. This is his first photo after 'Laal Singh Chaddha's box office failure.

New Delhi: Expectations were high from ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ as Aamir Khan returned to big screens after four years with the film but the film had a disastrous run at the box office. The film’s dismal performance has raised major concern in the Hindi film industry as the film was expected to end the dry run of Bollywood.

Amid all this, there were a few reports that claimed that the actor has taken a two-month break and is in the US before he starts shooting for his next film. Now a photo of the actor from San Francisco has confirmed the reports.

A Twitter user named Natasha, whose Twitter bio reads that she is a senior reporter, shared a selfie with Aamir Khan and wrote, “Yesterday in unexpected unbelievable i’m still unwell twists (sic).” Natasha also added in the comments section, “I asked him what’s he up to in sf and he said “just walking around” consistent (sic)!!!!”

There are also reports that Aamir has opted to forego his salary for the film in order to make up for the producers' loss due to the film's poor performance at the box office.

“If Aamir Khan decides to charge his acting fees, Viacom 18 Studios would have entailed losses of nearly Rs. 100 crores. However, that loss is something that Aamir Khan has decided to absorb himself. Now, the producer will lose nominal money,” a source was quoted as saying by Bollywood Hungama.

The source also added, “He gave four years to the film but has not made a single penny from it. His opportunity cost on Laal Singh Chaddha is upwards of Rs. 100 crores, but he has decided to absorb all the losses taking the complete blame of failure on himself.”

Meanwhile, Aamir’s production house released an audio clip which begins with ‘Michhami Dukkadam’ on the occasion of Jain festival Paryushan Parva. The Prakrit phrase means, “If I have offended you in any way, knowingly or unknowingly, in thought, word or deed, then I seek your forgiveness.”

The words in the clip say, “Hum sab insaan hai, aur galityan insaan se hoti hai. Kabhi bol se, kabhi harkaton mein, kabhi mazak mein….Agar maine kissi tarah se aapka dil dukhaya hai, toh…man vachan, kaaya se sama mangte ho…”
