As voting began in Kerala’s Wayanad constituency for the Lok Sabha bypoll, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi made an appeal to voters, urging them to support his sister, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, the Congress candidate in this election. Highlighting her dedication, he expressed confidence that Priyanka Gandhi would serve as more than just a representative, becoming “their sister, daughter, and advocate.”

At a polling station, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra expressed hope that voters would exercise their democratic right, emphasising her commitment to repaying the affection shown by Wayanad’s people and working as their representative.
Addressing reporters on her potential to exceed Rahul Gandhi’s previous victory margin, Priyanka remarked, “that is yet to be seen.”

The Left Democratic Front (LDF) has fielded Sathyan Mokeri, while the BJP’s candidate is Navya Haridas. Speaking at a polling center, BJP candidate Navya Haridas criticised Congress, alleging vote influence tactics involving "kits, money, and liquor."
