'It's Clearly A Dictatorship': Sunita Kejriwal Accuses BJP Of 'Forcefully' Putting Delhi CM In Jail Over 'False Charges'

Sunita Kejriwal said during a roadshow in Gujarat that the BJP has "forcefully" put her husband Arvind Kejriwal in jail over "false charges".

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's wife Sunita Kejriwal on Wednesday visited Gujarat to campaign for the Aam Aadmi Party. While there, she participated in roadshows for party candidates in Bharuch and Bhavnagar seats. During the roadshow, she alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party put her husband and Delhi CM in jail "forcefully," calling it a "dictatorship" and questioned if the Delhi CM will remain in jail if the investigation goes on for 10 years.

Sunita Kejriwal said: "They have put Delhi CM & my husband in jail forcefully, for the last 40 days. They say that the investigation is going on, if investigations goes on for 10 years, will they keep him in jail for 10 years?

"It's clearly a dictatorship. He is well read, patriotic and truthful person. For the sake of social service, he left his job and went to the slums to work for them. When we got married, he asked me just one question, I want to do social service, won't you have any issue with that?," the Delhi CM's wife said during the roadshow.

Hailing her husabnd Arvind Kejriwal and the work he has done for the people, Sunita Kejriwal added: "He left his job at the IRS to serve society. The people of Delhi elected him as their Chief Minister three times. The people of Gujarat elected 5 AAP legislators. The people of the whole country love Arvind Kejriwal."

The AAP supremo's wife stressed: "This is something the BJP folks haven't seen, and they put him in jail on false charges."
