In the lead-up to the Rajasthan Assembly elections slated for November 25, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Sunday announced its third list of 16 candidates who will contest in various constituencies across the state. The AAP, which has been actively preparing for the forthcoming polls, continues to expand its roster of contenders as the electoral battle gains momentum. "Third list of candidates for Rajasthan Assembly Elections 2023 is here. All the best to all the candidates ✌️🏻" the party stated on X while sharing the third list.

This announcement comes on the heels of the AAP's earlier releases of candidates, with the party unveiling its first list of 23 contenders on October 26 and its second list of 21 candidates on October 28.

Among the prominent names on the party's ticket, Manish Sharma was nominated to represent Bikaner West, while Rohit Joshi, ex-IRS officer R P Meena, and Hardan Singh Gujjar were fielded from Jodhpur, Chhabra, and Behror, respectively. Other candidates named in the previous lists included Mukesh Bhupremi, Lal Singh, Dipesh Soni, and Visvender Singh, who will vie for seats in Sawai Madhopur, Bali, Khanpur, and Ramgarh, respectively.

The AAP had previously announced its intent to participate in the assembly elections in three states: Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, and Madhya Pradesh. In Rajasthan, where the polls are set to take place on November 25, the AAP is gearing up to face off against the incumbent Congress government. The Congress is seeking to retain power with its emphasis on social welfare initiatives, while the main opposition BJP has been targeting the Ashok Gehlot-led administration on issues such as paper leaks, corruption, and law and order.

As the electoral contest in Rajasthan intensifies, the AAP's growing list of candidates signals the party's determination to make an impact in the state and potentially alter the political landscape. The results of the Rajasthan Assembly elections are scheduled to be declared on December 3.
