Though there are speculations of Bhagwant Singh Maan to be the CM face as Kejriwal had said that he is "very dear to him.” However, Maan had said the decision should be of Punjab’s people.
“Bhagwant Mann is very dear to me, he is like a younger brother. I was also saying that we should make him the CM face for Punjab Assembly elections, but he said let the people of Punjab decide this,” Kejriwal had said in a press conference.
He had also taken a jibe on the security issues in the state regarding the recent PM Modi’s security breach incident saying, “We assure people of Punjab to improve law & order situation & ensure justice in all previous incidents of sacrilege if AAP comes to power. Security will be ensured to all - be it PM or anyone else.”
Punjab will go to polling on February 20 after the Election Commission agreed to Congress’ request to postpone the date in view of the rising covid-19 cases in the country. Earlier, the Punjab assembly election was supposed to be held on February 14.
