'From Face Of Oppn To Sidekick': Netizens Mock Nitish Kumar For Holding BJP Insignia At PM's Patna Roadshow

After the mega roadshow in Bihar, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar was mocked for holding the BJP insignia as several social media users said that he seems sad and has become a "sidekick" now.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a massive roadshow in Patna on May 13, with Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar accompanying him during the Lok Sabha campaigning in the state. Besides the Bihar CM, deputy chief minister and state BJP president Samrat Choudhary along with local MP Ravi Shankar Prasad were also seen alongside PM Modi during the roadshow on the saffron-coloured vehicle, wading through the crowd gathered there.

However, following the roadshow, Janata Dal (United) leader Nitish Kumar was mocked on social media for holding up the BJP insignia during the election roadshow, as netizens pointed out his “dejected” expression, while standing on the chariot alongside PM Modi.

A social media user mocked the Bihar CM for becoming a "sidekick" and wrote on X: "From 'being a PM face of Opposition' to becoming 'a sidekick holding BJP party symbol' India is witnessing the fall of Nitish Kumar."

An X user named Luv Datta #INC , who is the social media coordinator for Congress, posted the video on social media and wrote: "Nitish Kumar is giving hints to the people of Bihar to vote for Congress. Look how sad he looks."

"Nitish Kumar got all the respect in INDIA alliance Now look at his conditions 😭🤣," another X user wrote, sharing the viral video from the roadshow.

Another user commented on his expression calling it a way to "show his loyalty towards his master" and wrote on X: "A man who has been Bihar CM for over 19+ years is now kneeling down in front of BJP. He is holding BJP symbol just to show his loyalty towards his master. What a sad end of the career for nitish kumar. This Picture will prove to be last nail in the coffin for nitish kumar’s political career. End of an era.”

During the roadshow, PM Modi covered a distance of about a kilometre and a half, standing atop a saffron-coloured vehicle, which looked like a chariot. The PM was spotted waving at the crowd on both sides of the road, gathered to showcase support for the saffron camp.
