PM Modi Leads Massive Roadshow With CM Nitish In Patna, Oppn Claims Visit Stirring Hindu-Muslim Rift

Accompanying Modi were Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, and BJP candidate from Patna Sahib Lok Sabha seat, Ravi Shankar Prasad. 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi spearheaded a grand roadshow in the capital of Bihar, Patna, on Sunday, drawing an enormous crowd eager to greet him. Perched atop a saffron-coloured vehicle fashioned as a chariot, PM Modi waved to the throngs of people lining both sides of the road. 

Accompanying Modi were Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, and BJP candidate from Patna Sahib Lok Sabha seat, Ravi Shankar Prasad. 

The enthusiastic crowd cheered for the prime minister, brandishing cutouts of the BJP's election symbol, the 'lotus', as Modi acknowledged them from his elevated position. 

The 2.5-km long roadshow, commencing at 7:15 PM from Bhattacharya Road-Pirmuhani crossing, concluded at Udyog Bhavan near Gandhi Maidan 

Following the roadshow, the Prime Minister retired for the night at the Raj Bhavan.

"Our leader (PM Modi) is so popular, and people of Patna have trust in him. I have never seen such a roadshow," Ravi Shankar said, right after PM Modi's roadshow.

War Of Words In Bihar's Political Circle Ahead Of PM's Visit

In response to PM Modi's visit, political reactions have surfaced, with supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav and his son, also an RJD leader, Tej Pratap voicing their words. 

Lalu told ABP, "Biharis are not fools. People of Bihar know very well... Bihar has already brought them on the road in 3 phases and will make them roam in every street in the remaining 4 phases. This is Bihar, Bihar!" 

"PM Modi is coming to create a rift between Hindu-Muslims, he has only one motive to divide the country into two...This dream will never get fulfilled...Roadshow in Bihar will have no effect... Bihar belongs to Lalu Yadav and I.N.D.I.A bloc... There will be no '400 paar', I am predicting that the I.N.D.I.A bloc will form the government in the centre," Tej Pratap remarked, as reported by ANI. 

Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary countered, "His father (Lalu Prasad Yadav) ruled for 34 years... Has he (Tejashwi Yadac) done any work yet? For 15 years, his father did not give reservation to a single person in Bihar. Lalu Prasad is against reservation and the Constitution..."

PM Modi To Hold 3 Rallies In Bihar Tomorrow

On Monday, Modi is slated to visit Takht Harmandir, the renowned Sikh shrine located in the old city area, associated with Guru Gobind Singh's birth and childhood. 

Later in the day, he will deliver speeches at three election rallies in Hajipur.
