'Every Vote Is Valuable For Democracy': PM Modi Asks People Of Chhattisgarh, MP To Vote

Voting is underway on all 230 seats of Madhya Pradesh and 70 seats of Chhattisgarh on Friday.

Elections 2023: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday asked the people of Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh to vote and participate in the festival of democracy as the states vote today. Mentioning that every vote is valuable for democracy, the PM said he is confident people of all regions will come forward to exercise their franchise. Voting is being held for all 230 assembly seats in Madhya Pradesh and 70 seats in the second phase of Chhattisgarh elections. 

"Today is the second and last round of voting in Chhattisgarh assembly elections. I request all the voters to exercise their franchise. Your every vote is valuable for democracy," the PM said in a post on X, formerly Twitter.

छत्तीसगढ़ विधानसभा चुनाव में आज दूसरे और आखिरी दौर का मतदान है। सभी मतदाताओं से मेरा निवेदन है कि वे अपने मताधिकार का प्रयोग जरूर करें। आपका हर वोट लोकतंत्र के लिए बहुमूल्य है।

"Today voting will be held for all the assembly seats of Madhya Pradesh. I am confident that voters from every region of the state will vote enthusiastically and will enhance the beauty of this great festival of democracy. My special greetings to all the youth of the state who voted for the first time in this election," the PM added in another post.

आज मध्य प्रदेश की सभी विधानसभा सीटों के लिए वोट डाले जाएंगे। मुझे विश्वास है कि राज्य के हर क्षेत्र के मतदाता पूरी गर्मजोशी से मतदान करेंगे और लोकतंत्र के इस महापर्व की रौनक बढ़ाएंगे। इस चुनाव में पहली बार वोट देने वाले राज्य के सभी युवाओं को मेरी विशेष शुभकामनाएं।

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel also urged people to vote. He said that every single vote will decide the future of youth, farmers and women. "Today polling will happen for the remaining 70 seats...Your one vote will decide the future of youth, farmers, women...Please move out of your homes to vote...Vote for the betterment of Chhattisgarh," he said.
