According to a PTI report, quoting sources, Thackeray is likely to take on his nephew and Shiv Sea (UBT) MLA Aaditya Thackeray by fieding MNS leader Sandeep Deshpande from Mumbai's Worli seat in the upcoming elections. The MNS leader has been actively engaging with Worli residents and addressing their concerns.
Last month, Thackeray announced that his party will contest on 200 to 250 sets independently. He has also criticised the state's administration, questioning the financial feasibility of the Mahayuti alliance.
Challenging the financial viability of the Mahayuti alliance's schemes, Thackera said that the Maharashtra government lacks funds to repair potholes, how will they find money for 'Laadli Behen' and 'Laadla Bhai'.
