‘Haven’t Seen Congress Rule, Aren’t Aware Of...’: PM Modi To First Time Voters In MP — WATCH

PM Modi asserted that the Congress is eager to seize power in Madhya Pradesh to use the state as an "ATM" for the Lok Sabha elections.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing a rally in Khandwa, Madhya Pradesh, claimed that the Congress party harbored intentions of turning the state into an "ATM" for generating funds for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. In his speech, Modi remarked that the Congress was primarily concerned with the development of a single family. In the political rally, Prime Minister Modi cautioned first-time voters against the grand old party.

He remarked, "Congress means to put the development vehicle in reverse gear. Don't get the misconception that they have improved over the years, but instead, their hunger has increased... First-time voters should be careful as you have not seen their rule. You are not aware of their dangerous game."

"People have to save the state from the clutches of Congress. Ensure that it won't go into the wrong hands. Do you know why Congress is desperate to form a government in Madhya Pradesh? It wanted to make MP its ATM in view of the Lok Sabha elections. They want to loot money of state stashed in tractors," Modi stated.

The Prime Minister went on to criticise the Congress's previous rule at the center, accusing them of indulging in scams worth lakhs and crores without considering the welfare of the people. He claimed that the public had recognised their actions, leading to the Congress being voted out of power in numerous regions across the country.

Modi contended that the Congress is now looking at the states with avarice, seeking to form governments where possible. He claimed that where the Congress had formed governments, a competition to loot the state between the chief minister and deputy chief minister was underway, citing reports in reference to Karnataka.

"Congress always thought about the development of one family, from panchayat to Parliament," he remarked.

In his address, Prime Minister Modi also took a veiled dig at Congress leaders Digvijaya Singh and Kamal Nath regarding the former's "tear clothes" remarks, which had sparked speculation about differences between the two former chief ministers of Madhya Pradesh in the lead-up to the polls.

The Prime Minister asserted that the Congress's hunger for money had grown significantly after years out of power, referencing media reports of financial irregularities within the ruling party in Rajasthan and other states.

Modi expressed confidence in returning to power for the third consecutive time in the country and urged the people to vote for a BJP government in Madhya Pradesh, touting the benefits of "double-engine growth." He also pledged that his government would allocate Rs 15,000 crore for the welfare of the Bhaira, Baiga, and Saharia tribes through a special mission.
