Lok Sabha polls: Congress' mega show in Delhi today, To address opposition leaders against BJP

All the allies who recently showed support to Sonia Gandhi have been invited in this event.

New Delhi: The opposition has launched a protest against Modi government ahead of Lok Sabha elections. UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi, Congress Chief Rahul Gandhi; along with senior party leaders and opposition leaders will be holding a protest in Talkatora stadium on Saturday. Sonia and Rahul will be addressing the opposition leaders during the event. The aim of the event is to get the opposition parties together against the ruling NDA. Preparation at three levels to oust NDA: The preparation of this event is being done through an institution n named Samridra Bharat. The event has sent out invitations to NGOs and civil societies. All the allies who recently showed support to Sonia Gandhi have been invited in this event. These allies have done preparations at 3 levels to oust NDA. What is the purpose of the event? It is being believed that lakhs of people are affiliate to these organizations and they will together run a campaign against NDA government. The theme of the entire campaign is in line with 2004; will also include making attempts of presenting a progressive and common agenda in 2019 polls. Senior leaders of following parties will take part: In this event, leaders from  CPI, CPM, DMK, RJD, TTP, NCP, NC, AAP, JDS, TMC, Yogendra Yadav’s Swaraj India and CPIL take part. Besides this, Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Sitaram Yechury from CPM, D Raja from CPI, Manoj Jha from RJD, TKS Elangovan from DMK and Kavita Krishna from CPIML.
