Like UP's Amethi, He'll Run Away From Wayanad Seat Too: PM Modi's Jibe At 'Shehzada' Rahul
PM Modi was in Nanded today to campaign for BJP candidates from Nanded and Hingoli seats in Maharashtra.
During a rally in Maharashtra's Nanded, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday took a swipe at Rahul Gandhi saying that Congress is waiting for the voting in Wayanad, following which the party will declare another "safe" seat for their "sahabzada". Referring to Rahul Gandhi, Modi said, "After losing Amethi, the Congress' sahabzade will lose Wayanad as well. So he will have to look for a safe seat after April 26."

In an apparent reference to Congress senior leader Sonia Gandhi, the PM said that some I.N.D.I.A. bloc leaders left the Lok Sabha and moved to the Rajya Sabha as they did not have the courage to contest Lok Sabha elections.
"For the first time, the family will not vote for a Congress candidate in the constituency where they live as there is no party candidate there," he said
"Whatever claims these people make, the truth is that Congress leaders have already accepted defeat even before the announcement of elections. This is the very reason that a few of their leaders, who used to contest and win Lok Sabha seats, have this time entered through the Rajya Sabha route," PM Modi said.
Congratulating first-time voters for casting ballots in the first phase of the Lok Sabha elections held on Friday, PM Modi further remarked: "When there is a great voting percentage in the country, it makes a positive impact. The more the voting percentage, the more the country's stature rises in the world's eyes."
"The next 25 years belong to India and higher voter turnout shows India's democratic strength," he added.
The Prime Minister also said that the information available for the first phase of Lok Sabha polls indicates that there has been a one-sided voting in NDA's favour.
Highlighting his vision to do something for Nanded and Maharashtra in the next five years, PM Modi hit out at Congress saying, "A lot of our time was spent filling the holes done by Congress. In the next five years, we have to take the Nanded and Maharasthra forward."
PM Modi also criticised the I.N.D.I.A. bloc and said that the voters have "completely rejected the alliance as they have seen how the corrupt leaders of the INDI Alliance have come together to serve their own families' interests."
He also spoke about CAA which has been "introduced by the Centre for victims of partition".
"Had there been no CAA, our Sikh brothers and sisters would have been badly suffering. But it's strange that Congress is opposing this. It seems that are taking the revenge of 1984 from Sikhs till now," the PM alleged.
PM Modi also underlined how the Centre has delivered whatever it had promised saying,"Modi's Guarantee means 'Guarantee Ke Poora Hone Ki Guarantee."
"Modi had guaranteed to abrogate Article 370 from Kashmir, and it happened. Modi had guaranteed to end 'Triple Talaq', and it happened. Modi had guaranteed to make India's economy strong and robust, and it happened... Now, Modi guarantees that India will soon become the world's third largest economy...and it will happen!" the PM stressed.
