Lok Sabha Polls: Nitish In Delhi To Discuss NDA Seat-Sharing In Bihar, Tejashwi To Hold Parallel Meet

Nitish Kumar is expected to reach Delhi by tonight while Tejashwi is already in the national capital to reach a deal on seat-sharing in Bihar for the Lok Sabha polls.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will reach Delhi on Monday for discussion over seat-sharing for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections 2024. According to ABP News sources, the Janata Dal (United) leader will leave for Delhi from Patna in the evening and will reach the national capital at around 8 pm. 

In Delhi, Nitish is likely to meet the BJP top brass and the alliance is expeceted to hold meetings for seat-sharing arrangement in Bihar for the next two days. The JD(U) leader is scheduled to reach Patna on March 21. 
 
His Delhi visit comes at a time when Rashtriya Lok Samta Party's Upendra Kushwaha and Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) leader Chirag Paswan are already in the city. 

As per ABP News sources, Nitish Kumar's JD(U) is likely to get 16 seats while BJP is expected to keep 17 seats with it for the contest although one out of it may be reserved for a VIP. In case Mukesh Sahani decides not to side with NDA, then the seat might be given to Kushwaha. 

Besides this, Paswan's LJP may contest on five seats, while Jitan Ram Manjhi and Upendra Kushwaha could get one seat each to contest the Lok Sabha polls.  The party is yet to make an official annoucement on this. 

Tejashwi Yadav Too Reaches Delhi

Meanwhile, Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Tejashwi Yadav reached the national capital on Monday for th seat-sharing discussion among the I.N.D.I.A bloc allies, saying that the talks were in final stage and would be sealed in the next few days, reported PTI. Yadav said that most of the issues have been resolved except on just one or two seats. 

"Everything will be decided in two-three days. It is in the final stages. There are some issues over a seat or two, but everything will be sorted out," Yadav told reporters in Delhi.

He also said that the I.N.D.I.A bloc will contest on all the 40 Lok sabha seats of the state.
