New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi halted his cavalcade to give way to an ambulance during his massive roadshow in Gujarat's Ahmedabad on Thursday.

PM Modi has been holding a mega roadshow in Ahmedabad for the second phase of polling on December 5.
It is to be noted that PM Modi had started the election campaign by visiting Somnath on November 20, and also came to the state for a number of government events ahead of the poll date announcement.
Earlier this month, PM Modi halted his convoy to make for an ambulance during his rally in Kangra ahead of the Himachal Pradesh Assembly elections.
“It is not for nothing that he is called Pradhan Sewak,” the BJP tweeted.
“He stopped his convoy to give way to an ambulance in Himachal. Always give way to the ambulance to save precious lives!” the party wrote.
On September 30, the Prime Minister’s convoy had stopped for a while to give way to an ambulance while travelling to Gandhinagar from Ahmedabad.
Notably, the incident took place when PM Modi was on his way to Raj Bhavan in Gandhinagar after a public rally near Doordarshan Centre in Ahmedabad.
"On the way to Gandhinagar from Ahmedabad, PM Modi's motorcade stopped to give way to an ambulance," the Gujarat BJP said in a statement.
It is to be noted that PM Modi's over 30km-long roadshow in Ahmedabad, where polling will be held in the second phase of the Gujarat Assembly elections on December 5, started from Naroda village on Thursday evening.
The mega roadshow will cover the eastern side of Ahmedabad and end at the IOC circle in the Chandkheda area on the city's western side, the BJP said in a release.
