Expelled JD(S) Member LR Shivarame Gowda Joins BJP, Says More People To Join In Next 10 Days

LR Shivarame Gowda joined the BJP in Bengaluru in presence of state party chief Nalinkumar Katil. 

New Delhi: Former MP from Mandya LR Shivarame Gowda joined the Bharatiya Janata Party on Wednesday after being expelled from Janata Dal (Secular). He joined the saffron party in Bengaluru in presence of state party chief Nalinkumar Katil. 

After joining BJP, Gowda said that more people will be joining the party in next 10 days.

People are in favour of the BJP. This time we will get more seats and more vote share in Karnataka, said BJP National General Secretary CT Ravi. 

Recently Puttanna and Baburao Chinchansur had left the BJP to join Congress party. While Puttanna has been fielded by Congress from the Rajaji Nagar constituency in Bengaluru, Chinchansur is likely to enter the fray from Gurmitkal in Kalaburagi district.

A third BJP leader, MLC Ayanur Manjunath is also likely to quit the party after he said that he would resign as MLC and contest the Karnataka Assembly polls from the Shivamogga constituency.
