Viral 'IITian Baba' Endorses This Former BJP Leader As Delhi CM, Calls Her 'Woman Of Truth, Dharma'

Delhi Election 2025: 'IIT Baba' Abhay Singh, has endorsed Nupur Sharma for Chief Minister. Despite Sharma's expulsion from the BJP, Abhay Singh praises her as a "woman of truth".

As political activities intensify ahead of the 2025 Delhi Assembly elections, a video of ‘IIT Baba’, who has gained popularity during the Mahakumbh, has gone viral. In the video, Abhay Singh, now popularly known as ‘IIT Baba’, expresses his wish to see former BJP leader Nupur Sharma become the Chief Minister of Delhi.

The viral ‘IIT Baba’ stated, "It would be great if a powerful woman becomes the Chief Minister of Delhi." He further lauded Nupur Sharma, calling her a "woman of truth" and asserting that she stands for religion. Despite Nupur Sharma's expulsion from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) following her controversial remarks about Prophet Muhammed, ‘IIT Baba’ described her as his first choice for the Delhi CM position.

During a live chat, ‘IIT Baba’ remarked, "The BJP had earlier tried Kiran Bedi, but Nupur Sharma is even better than her because Nupur stands with religion. Kiran Bedi got tangled into rationality".

ABP News could not verify when this video was recorded.

‘IIT Baba’, whose real name is Abhay Singh, has gained significant traction on social media as ‘IITian Baba’ during the ongoing Mahakumbh in Prayagraj. In a previously released video, Abhay Singh revealed that he studied at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Mumbai and worked in the aerospace engineering sector, transitioning to photography before renouncing all those pursuits to become a monk.

Delhi Election: AAP vs BJP Over CM Face

The remarks come as the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has been attacking the BJP over its Chief Ministerial face. Previously, the AAP claimed that Kalkaji candidate Ramesh Bidhuri would be Delhi CM if the BJP came to power, an assertion rebuked by Union Home Minister Amit Shah and denied by Bidhuri.

After CM Atishi and AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal claimed that Bidhuri would be BJP's CM face, the BJP leader issued a public statement stating, "Arvind Kejriwal has started a misleading propaganda about me. I want to make it clear that I am not a claimant for any post."

Meanwhile, the BJP and Delhi LG VK Saxena have slammed Kejriwal for calling Atishi a 'temporary' Chief Minister as the AAP chief is once again projecting himself for the top post amid corruption allegations.
