'Congress To Get Over 40 Seats, Kejriwal Will Lose New Delhi Seat': Sandeep Dikshit's Big Claim
Sandeep Dikshit, who is also the candidate from New Delhi Assembly seat, said that the people in Delhi are angry with the BJP and the Aam Aadmi Party.
Congress leader Sandeep Dikshit on Tuesday exuded confidence that the party would win the Delhi Assembly elections and said that the party would get a majority with over 40 seats.
Dikshit, who is also the candidate from New Delhi Assembly seat, said that the people in Delhi are angry with the BJP and the Aam Aadmi Party.
"Many Congress voters in Delhi wanted that the BJP should not form government in Delhi. Because of some reason, we were not seen as fighting strongly in 2015 and 2019. So, 12-14 per cent of Congress voters were voting for Aam Aadmi Party. But now we are seen as a strong contender in Delhi and people are tired of Kejriwal, the 12-14 per cent voters are returning back into Congress," Dikshit said.

The Congress leader said around 22-23 per cent of the voters will be voting for the party in the upcoming elections. The remark comes shortly after the Election Commission on Tuesday released the schedule for Delhi polls, where elections would be held on February 5 and the results will be announced on February 8.
"People are tired of Arvind Kejriwal and tired of Modi because their MCD and DDA didn't work for the people. So where would they go? Some people would come with the Congress because of their choice, while others will come because they are angry," the Congress leader said.
Speaking on the contest on New Delhi seat, Sandeep Dikshit said that he would defeat Arvind Kejriwal. The New Delhi seat is seeing a triangular fight with the Congress candidate Sandeep Dikshit contesting against AAPs's Arvind Kejriwal and BJP leader Parvesh Verma.
On the question of Akhilesh Yadav supporting Arvind Kejriwal, Dikshit said that the Samajwadi Party voters in Delhi will shift to Congress.
