Lok Sabha Polls: Congress Releases 12th List Of 3 Candidates From Gujarat, Names Contestants For Vadodara, Junagadh

The Congress has announced Rutvikbhai Makwana from Surendranagar, Hirabhai Jotva from Junagadh and Jashpalsinh from Vadodara.

The Congress on Thursday released a list of 3 candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections. The party has announced Rutvikbhai Makwana from Surendranagar, Hirabhai Jotva from Junagadh and Jashpalsinh from Vadodara. The list comes a day before the release the party's manifesto for the Lok Sabha elections. Top Congress leaders will release the party's manifesto in Jaipur on Friday with its focus on the five 'pillars of justice'.
The manifesto would be released by senior party leaders, including party president Mallikarjun Kharge, Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi. In its manifesto, the Congress will lay emphasis on 'Paanch Nyay' or five pillars of justice, including 'Yuva Nyay', 'Naari Nyay', 'Kisaan Nyay', 'Shramik Nyay' and 'Hissedari Nyay', as per PTI. For the first time, the Congress will also promise the youths the 'right to employment' as part of its poll manifesto for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections and is mulling to propose stringent punishment for those responsible for paper leaks in examinations.
 
On Tuesday, the grand old party unveiled a list of 17 candidates, nominating Y S Sharmila Reddy, the state unit chief, to contest the Kadapa seat in Andhra Pradesh. The list featured eight candidates from Odisha, five from Andhra Pradesh, three from Bihar, and one from West Bengal.

The Congress party, as part of the seat-sharing agreement with the grand alliance in Bihar, had declared candidates for three out of the nine allocated seats. Mohammed Jawed, the incumbent Congress MP, will contest from the Kishanganj Lok Sabha constituency. Meanwhile, veteran leader Tariq Anwar has been nominated as the candidate for the Katihar seat.

In the 10th list released by the grand old party, it fielded Abhay Kashinath Patil from Akola, Maharashtra, and Kadiyam Kavya is set to fight the upcoming elections from Warangal, Telangana.
