'Jhoothon Ka Sardar': Congress Chief Mallikarjun Kharge Hits Out At PM Modi At Haryana Rally
Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge addressed a rally in Haryana and criticized PM Modi, calling him a "jhoothon ka sardar".
Addressing a public meeting in Haryana, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi calling him 'Jhoothon Ka Sardar'.
In his first rally in Haryana, the leader of the opposition claimed that the people of India are fed up with the BJP. Kharge also accused PM Modi of “misleading the public”.
"There are a few people who say 'Modi, Modi'. He is a 'jhoothon ka sardar' (King of liars). Still, you say 'Modi Modi'. I do not want to abuse anyone and I am not against Modi. But I am certainly against Modi's ideology and am fighting against it," Mallikarjun Kharge said.
Kharge claimed that PM Modi was “lying about Congress’ manifesto.
“I went to Ahmedabad. In a rally, he (Modi) was saying that if Congress comes to power, it will snatch away all your assets, it will look for your mangalsutra, your money and give it away to somebody else. If you have two buffaloes, one will be given to Muslims. These are not our words, these are Modi’s words,” the Congress chief said.
The Congress leader said that the Congress is against the ideologies of RSS and also accused the BJP of planning to “snatch away the Constitution”.
"We are fighting against RSS’s ideology. We are fighting against your wish to snatch away the Constitution. You want to destroy democracy, we are fighting against that," he added.
Accusing PM Modi of lying, Kharge said, “In his first election, he said Congress earned a lot of money. Lots of rich people have stashed their black money in Swiss banks and he would bring back that money and give Rs 15 lakh to each family. Did he say this or not? Did you get it? Prime Minister lied? Did he?”
He further added, "The Prime Minister is a liar. What is wrong if I call such a prime minister 'jhoothon ka sardar."
Declaring the Lok Sabha elections of 2024 a “fight to save the constitution and the democracy”, Kharge added, "Whatever number of seats are required to come to power and number of seats that are required to stop Modi, we shall get those numbers.” He also said, “We are fighting this battle to save the Constitution and democracy. Nobody can wipe us out. We are with you and you are with us. There will be a magic on June 5. That is why Modi is upset.”
