'BJP Must Secure 370 Seats, Next 100 Days Crucial': PM Modi At Party Meet Ahead Of Lok Sabha Polls

PM Modi said that if NDA has to achieve the target of 400 seats in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the BJP will have to cross the mark of 370 seats.

BJP National Convention 2024: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said that if National Democratic Alliance (NDA), group of Bharatiya Janata Paty and its allies, has to achieve the target of 400 seats in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the BJP will have to cross the mark of 370 seats. He asserted that saffron party's goal is to unite and engage with every new voter, every beneficiary, every sector, and every community over the next 100 days and earn the trust of the people.

Speaking at BJP National Convention 2024 in the national capital, the Prime Minister mocked the Opposition and said that even they are raising slogans of 'NDA sarkar 400 paar'. "Today, the opposition leaders are also raising slogans of 'NDA sarkar 400 paar'. To take NDA to 400, BJP will have to cross the mark of 370 (seats)," PM Modi said.

"Over the next 100 days, our goal is to unite and engage with every new voter, every beneficiary, every sector, and every community. It is essential to earn the trust of the people, and with collective efforts, the BJP will have the opportunity to serve the nation with the highest mandate ever," he also stated.

PM Modi said that it took almost 60 years for India to become a 1 trillion dollar economy, and when he was given an opportunity by the country, the 2 trillion mark also looked difficult. "It took almost 60 years for India to become 1 trillion dollar economy. In 2014, when the country gave us an opportunity, 2 trillion mark also looked difficult but in 10 years we added an extra 2 trillion dollars to our economy. India was the 11th largest economy in 2014 and we took only 10 years to bring it to the 5th position," the Prime Minister said.

Speaking on India's foreign policy, PM Modi said, "When I took oath in 2014, many of our critics said that what experience does Modi have outside a state. Many things were said about foreign policy. Recently I visited UAE and Qatar. The world is seeing how our relations with many countries are strong...Our relations are better in trade, tourism, and technology. Five Arab countries gave me the highest honour of their country, this is not the honour of PM Modi but the honour of the entire 140 countrymen."
