'Reduced To Rubber Stamp President': BJP Mocks Kharge After Congress Leader Loses Cool At Poll Rally
Amit Malviya's taunt came after Mallikarjun Kharge lost his temper while addressing an election rally in Telangana when his speech got disrupted by the shouting among the audience.
New Delhi: BJP IT Cell head Amit Malviya on Sunday mocked Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge, calling him a “rubber stamp president” after the latter lost his cool over the audience at an election rally in poll-bound Telangana. In a 28-second video posted by Malviya on X, Kharge can be seen visibly upset with the crowd due to the constant interruptions during his address.
Taking a swipe at Kharge, Malviya suggested his role in the grand old party has been reduced to that of a “rubber stamp president”. He also pointed out that his presence in the posters for election campaigns was minimal. He further raised the question if Kharge was being sidelined by the Congress since he is a Dalit.
Taking to X, Malviya shared the video and wrote, “This is not unusual. Kharge ji, despite being the Congress President, is humiliated in all his public meetings. He helplessly screams and shouts at his workers, who don’t give him the requisite respect. The Gandhis have reduced him to a rubber stamp President. His photos had either disappeared or reduced to stamp size in all Rajasthan ads, for instance, whereas Rahul Gandhi and Gehlot’s pictures were displayed dominantly. Is the Congress insulting Mr Kharge because he is a Dalit?”

In the video shared by Malviya, Kharge can be heard saying, “Chup baitho, agar sunna hai to suno, nahi to get out. Aapko maloom nahi hota jo ye meeting chal rahi hain ek All India Congress Committee ka neta bol raha hain? Tumhare mooh main…tumko jo hona wo kehte. Agar sunna hai to suno, warna apni jagah ko jao (Sit quietly. If you want to listen then do or else get out. Don’t you know that a leader of the All India Congress Committee is speaking? You are saying whatever you feel like. Listen if you want to or else move on your way).
