Bihar Bypoll Results: It's An NDA Clean Sweep As It Retains One And Wrests 3 Seats From RJD

The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) also suffered a significant blow, losing three of its previously held seats. Overall, INDIA lost all four seats, while the NDA gained three new constituencies.

The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) achieved a sweeping victory in the Bihar byelections, securing wins in all four contested seats. In contrast, the opposition INDIA bloc faced a major setback, with defeat across the board. The results, announced on Saturday, revealed NDA victories in Belaganj, Imamganj, Tarari, and Ramgarh constituencies, leaving the INDIA camp in despair and the office of Prashant Kishor’s newly formed party, Jansuraj, in silence.

Disappointing Start for Jansuraj

Prashant Kishor's Jansuraj failed to make a mark in its political debut, losing in what was seen as a “semi-final” test. The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) also suffered a significant blow, losing three of its previously held seats. Overall, INDIA lost all four seats, while the NDA gained three new constituencies.

Prior to the byelections, RJD held three seats and the Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) one. On the other hand, NDA’s tally included one seat with JD(U), two with BJP, and one with HAM (Hindustani Awam Morcha).
