ABP Exit Poll 2019: SP-BSP-RLD Mahagatbandhan projected to clinch UP with 45 seats

As per the ABP News Exit polls, the SP-BSP-RLD Mahagatbandhan is projected to win 45 out of the 80 seats in Uttar Pradesh. The Bharatiya Janata Party is expected to win on 22 seats and the Congress is expected to win 2 seats.

New Delhi: The seventh and final phase of polling for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections culminated on Sunday, bringing an end to the voting for the 2019 general elections.The seventh phase witnessed polling in 13 constituencies in Eastern region of Uttar Pradesh. ABP News is airing its Exit polls for the 2019 general elections, which gives the viewers a detailed analysis of how the voters are likely to vote and how will the parties fare across the 542 constituencies in the nation. As per the ABP News Exit polls, the SP-BSP-RLD Mahagatbandhan is projected to win 45 out of the 80 seats in Uttar Pradesh. The Bharatiya Janata Party is expected to win on 33 seats and the Congress is expected to win on 2 seats. The BJP which won 73 seats during the last Lok Sabha elections in UP is down by more than 50 seats. Here is a region wise break up of how the political parties are going to fare in the Lok Sabha polls in UP Western Uttar Pradesh Out of the total 27 seats in Western Uttar Pradesh, the SP-BSP gathbandhan is projected to win 21 seats while the BJP is likely to win 6 seats. Rashtriya Lok Dal is expected to win 2 seats. Awadh region Out of the total 23 seats in Awadh region, the SP-BSP-RLD mahagatbhandan is expected to make massive inroads into the BJP vote share, winning 14 seats. Samajwadi Party is expected to win 6 seats, BSP to win 8 seats. BJP is projected to win 7 seats. Congress is likely to secure wins on 2 seats. Verdict: Mahagatbandhan expected to make major inroads into the BJP vote share in the Awadh region Bundelkhand region Out of the total 4 seats in the Bundelkhand region, the mahagathban is expected to win three seats, with the BJP likely to clinch one seat. Congress is unlikely to open its account in the region. Purvanchal Out of the total 26 seats in Purvanchal, Bahujan Samaj Party is likely to win 11 seats while their gatbandhan partner the Samajwadi party shall win 7 seats. The Bharatiya Janata Party is expected to clinch 8 seats in the region. 2014 Lok Sabha results in Uttar Pradesh  In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance had swept the polls, securing 73 out of the 80 seats. The Bharatiya Janata Party won 71 seats, its NDA ally the Apna Dal clinched two seats, The Samajwadi party won five seats and the Congress could only manage to garner 2 seats. In the 2019 Lok Sabha polls, Samajwadi Party forged an alliance with the Bahujan Samaj Party to counter the Modi wave and the Bharatiya Janata Party in Uttar Pradesh. The Congress went solo in the 2019 general elections in Uttar Pradesh after their tie up with the SP-BSP 'gathbandhan' dint work out in the state
