2019 LS polls: BJP releases list of 40 'star campaigners'; Advani, MM Joshi's names missing

The Bharatiya Janata Party on Monday released its list of star campaigner who shall be part of the campaigning for the Lok Sabha polls in the state of Uttar Pradesh.

New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (bjp) on Monday released its list of star campaigner who shall be part of party's campaigning for the Lok Sabha polls in the state of Uttar Pradesh. The list which is headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP president Amit Shah also includes Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Aditya Nath, MEA Sushma Swaraj, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley among other top BJP leaders. The list further includes state cabinet ministers Dhan Singh Rawat, Yashpal Arya, Rekha Arya, Satpal Maharaj, Arvind Pandey, Subodh Uniyal, Harak Singh Rawat, Prakash Pant and Madan Kaushik. However, names of BJP stalwarts LK Advani and Murli Manohar Joshi are missing from the list. Uttar Pradesh which is scheduled to go to seven-phase polls starting from April 11 and ending on May 19. Counting will take place on May 23. Speaking to one of the leading media house, Devendra Bhasin, state BJP spokesperson, said, “The exact programmes including public meetings and road shows of the star campaigners will also be announced soon.”
