UPSC CAPF Recruitment 2019: Registration Over, Know Examination Pattern, Stages of Selection Process

UPSC CAPF Recruitment 2019: The selection process for UPSC CAPF Recruitment 2019 will comprise of a written examination, followed by physical efficiency test, medical standard tests and interview/personality test.

UPSC CAPF Recruitment 2019:  The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) had notified 323 vacancies for the Central Armed Police Forces (ACs) Examination, 2019 in the Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Central Industrial Security Force(CISF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB). The online application process for the same has got over today i.e. on 20th May 2019. The selection process for UPSC CAPF Recruitment 2019 will comprise of a written examination, followed by physical efficiency test, medical standard tests and interview/personality test. If you are an aspirant who wishes to successfully qualify in all the stages, you must begin your exam preparation right away to clear the written examination along with other subsequent tests. Mentioned below is the summary of each stage of the recruitment process: Stage 1 – Written Examination The written examination will consist of two papers i.e. Paper I and Paper II. Paper I: Paper I will comprise of objective type questions (MCQ) based on General Ability and Intelligence - 250 Marks. The question paper will be set in two languages i.e. English and Hindi so that candidates will have the option to read questions in their preferred language. The Paper I will be of total 250 marks. Paper II: Paper II will be descriptive in nature and will consist of questions related to General Studies, Essay and Comprehension. In paper II, candidates will be given the option to write the Essay Component in English or Hindi, but the medium set for the Precis Writing, Comprehension Components and other communications/ language skills will be in English language only. Paper-II will be of total 200 Marks. Candidates need to attain the minimum qualifying marks in each paper separately. The evaluation of Paper I will be done first and then Paper II will be evaluated only for those candidates who are able to qualify in Paper I. Stage 2 – Physical Standards/Physical Efficiency Tests and Medical Standards Tests Candidates who qualify in the written examination will be called for the Physical Standards/Physical Efficiency Tests and Medical Standards Tests. Physical Efficiency Test will be done for only those candidates who meet the prescribed physical standards as described by the commission in Appendix-V of the official advertisement. The Physical Efficiency Test (PET) will consist of a 100 meters race, 800 meters race, long jump and shot put. For 100 meters race, male candidates will be given the time period of 16 seconds to complete the race and female candidates will be given 18 seconds to finish the race. For 800 meters race, the time period set to finish the race is 3 minutes and 45 seconds will be given to male candidates and 4 minutes 45 seconds for female candidates. For long jump, male candidates will get 3 chances to do a 3.5 meters long jump. The female candidates will need to do long jump of 3.0 meters in given 3 chances. In Shotput, male candidates will need to throw the shotput of 7.6 kg for a distance of up to 4.5 meters. Those candidates who are declared qualified in the Physical Efficiency Test will only be considered eligible to appear in Medical Standards Test.  The venue for these tests will be notified after the results of the written examination. Stage 3 – Interview/Personality Test Candidates who qualify the Medical Standards Tests will be summoned for Interview/Personality Test. The Interview/Personality Test will be of 150 Marks.  Stage 4 – Final Selection/Merit The merit list of candidates who are shortlisted in Interview/Personality Test will be made according to the marks obtained by the candidates in the Written Examination and Interview/Personality Test.
