Union Home Minister Amit Shah Inaugurates National Institute Of Pharmaceutical Education And Research
Amit Shah unveils a new branch of the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research in Gandhinagar.
The Union Home Minister Amit Shah has inaugurated the permanent campus of the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research in Ahmedabad. At the launch of the NIPER, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said, "NIPER's goal should not just be education in the field of medical science but also research. We should move forward with the goal of becoming one of the top research institutes in the world. Until India makes a debut in the field of research, we will not be able to stand strong in the area of manufacturing medicines."
"Education in the pharmacy sector not only benefits an individual but it also makes the human life healthy and better," said Amit Shah.
NIPER Ahmedabad embarked on its journey in 2007, initially offering three specializations: Biotechnology, Natural Products, and Pharmaceutics. In 2010, it expanded its academic offerings to include three additional specializations: Pharmaceutical Analysis, Medicinal Chemistry, and Pharmacology and Toxicology. Furthermore, in 2011, recognizing the growing demand in India's medical device industry, NIPER Ahmedabad introduced a new specialization in Medical Devices to its repertoire.
